The former Manchester United and West Ham star is enjoying his life in South Korea as he shared a series of stories on his Instagram account featuring his team-mate at FC Seoul. WHAT HAPPENED?

Lingard remained a free agent for more than six months after he left Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2022/23 season. In between he had trained with West Ham and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq but he never formally joined them. He reportedly <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/jesse-lingard-wanted-man-ex-man-utd-offers-26-clubs-free-agent-fc-seoul-south-korea/blt5ab1090f60d6c05f" target="_blank">turned down as many as 26 offers</a> from clubs around the world before finally signing for the South Korean club.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to Sky Sports, another Saudi Arabian club <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/jesse-lingard-limbo-ex-man-utd-england-star-potential-comeback-falls-through-saudi-pro-league-transfer-deadline/bltc895a15169e83807#csa24920c74c34563a" target="_blank">Al-Shabab reportedly tried to sign the winger</a> in January but the deal could not be pushed through in time.
