'Dirty little scouse dog' - Gary Neville takes brutal swipe at fellow Sky Sports pundit & Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher over criticism on Man City & Pep Guardiola

City manager Guardiola took aim at Sky Sports pundits Neville, Carragher, and Micah Richards after they suggested that the Premier League champions had become complacent. City drew 3-3 with Tottenham on Sunday, and Guardiola subsequently pointed out that none of the trio have ever won four Premier League titles in a row, something City are aiming to do this season.

Carragher hit back at Guardiola with a brutal tweet, drawing attention to the fact that City are currently under investigation for 115 alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play rules.

Neville opted not to go against Guardiola and instead focused his attentions on Carragher, insisting that he might have won a Premier League title had he not scored seven own goals for Liverpool.

He said on TikTok: "We'll start of course with the fact that the old master Pep has had a got at me and Carra for not winning four in a row - sorry Pep, apologies for that - and for my friend James from Liverpool for not participating in Premier League title celebrations at all during his career, which did make me chuckle slightly,' he began on TikTok, jokingly poking fun at his friend.

"But the dirty little scouse dog Carragher had to go back at Pep didn't he? He couldn't rise above it and see it as a compliment, and he says to Pep "If I'd been owned by a nation state or had 115 charges against me and pushed the rules then I'd have probably won a Premier League".

"Carra, I reckon you'd have won a Premier League title, mate, if you hadn't kept kicking the ball into the back of your own net! That would've been a massive help to your team!"

Guardiola will look to move past the war of words as he prepares his side to face Aston Villa in midweek as they bid to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal. The Gunners beat Luton Town 4-3 on Tuesday to move five points clear of Liverpool and six clear of the Citizens.
