Fulham lead race to sign wantaway Inter star but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to lure striker to Besiktas

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Taremi's future at the Italian club appears to end after just one season, with the striker making himself available for transfer. Having arrived on a free transfer last summer, the former ex-Porto striker quickly found himself dropped to the bench due to performances significantly below expectations. Despite being currently stranded in Iran due to conflict, Taremi recently communicated with Inter executives, confirming his willingness to consider offers and depart if the conditions are right.

Inter's new attacking setup, featuring players like Francesco Pio Esposito and Ange-Yoan Bonny, has further pushed Taremi out of the starting lineup. As of now, Taremi has three primary options. Premier League club Fulham are leading the race for the Iranian forward, while Turkish giants Besiktas are also pushing hard for his signature. A club from Qatar is also interested, although Taremi is inclined to stay in Europe. Inter are monitoring the situation closely.

Taremi's departure brings Inter a capital gain since he was signed on a free transfer. In addition, offloading his €6m gross annual salary significantly supports the club’s financial strategy. Inter intends to use these savings to acquire a flexible attacking midfielder for head coach Cristian Chivu. The sale also paves the way for a larger €30m (£26m/$35m) outlay on a central defender.

The Italian club plans to bring a central defender, with Joel Ordonez of Club Brugge on top of their wishlist. Aleksandar Stankovic, who is hugely appreciated by the Belgian club can be used as a part of the deal to bring the Ecuadorian defender to San Siro. Inter tried to use Stankovic in a bid to hijack AC Milan's move for Ardon Jashari, but the Swiss midfielder declined their proposal.
