El Clasico is coming to the United States - again! Barcelona and Real Madrid set to face off in New York for 2024-25 pre-season clash

The Blaugrana and Los Blancos have played each other in the US in the last two summers. This year, they will make it a third, with a game tentatively scheduled - and soon to be announced - at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, according to Sport.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has already confirmed that the Blaugrana plan to embark on a US tour, arguing that it represents an important commercial opportunity: “In the summer tour that we will do, if we go to the United States in the end, we will also take Cupra. We can help a lot because, for us, the American market is also important."

Barcelona have repeatedly seen trips overseas as important marketing opportunities - especially given their poor financial situation. The Blaugrana played Club America in a friendly in Dallas on December 21, lining up against the Liga MX just one day after a La Liga fixture.

The fixture list isn't getting any easier for the struggling Blaugrana. After playing Mallorca on Friday, their attention turns to the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie with Napoli.
