EA Sports/GOAL compositeEA Sports FC 25 is quickly becoming emblazoned across screens, with fans of the popular football video game eager to get started on EA Sports' follow-up to FC 24.
New features, teams, Career Mode challenges and Ultimate Team tweaks have all being implemented, with new ICONS, updated ratings and game modes.

EA SportsThe official release date of EA Sports FC 25 follows the tradition of previous years, with launch confirmed for the last Friday of September, which is September 27, 2024.
As in previous years, there is also an early-access offer, which allowed those who pre-order to play the game seven days earlier on September 20.

The standard edition of EA Sports FC 25 costs £59.99 in the UK and $69.99 in the U.S., whereas the Ultimate Edition is priced at £89.99 in the UK and $99.99 in the U.S.
Discount offers - around 10 per cent off - are available to those who pre-order.
GettyAs with EA Sports FC 24, EA Sports FC 25 is playable on the PS5 (including PS5 Pro), Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game is also available to play on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, though it should be noted that only the standard version will be available on Switch.
EA SportsEA Sports has introduced a new small-sided fast-paced game called Rush that will be available to play in Ultimate Team, Clubs and Kick Off.

You will be able to connect with your club mates in the new Clubhouse, explore new realms with Facilities and play with friends in Clubs Rush.
Live Start Points will be released with a post-launch update and you will be able to play out the future with real-world scenarios in the game, as well as rewriting the past with ICONs.

EA SportsThe most notable new additions to Career Mode in FC 25 are the introduction of women's football, the ability to play careers with ICONS and Live Start Points.
Live Start Points allows players to alter the course of history by picking up where a player or team has left off in a given week, meaning you have to deal with the context of whatever results, injuries or transfers have just happened. Similarly, there is a Snapshots starting point, where you respond to a specific newsworthy situation at a club, such as a transfer, a manager sacking and so on.
EA Sports has introduced the top five women's leagues to Career Mode and you can play in either manager or player mode, with managers able to move freely between men's or women's teams.
You can also now play Career as an ICON, meaning you can see how legends of the past would perform alongside players in the modern game. Storylines have also expanded, with more flexibility in your origin story.
As well as that, press conferences will become more dynamic, incorporating FC IQ, while the youth academy has grown by expanding the number of countries you can send scouts to.
EA SportsJude Bellingham was confirmed as the new cover star for EA Sports FC 25 in July 2024. The England and Real Madrid midfielder takes over from Erling Haaland, who was the face of EA Sports FC 24.
In a promotional image ahead of the first reveal of the new game, the cover of the standard edition features Bellingham in his Real Madrid kit performing his trademark celebration.
The Ultimate edition cover also features Bellingham, but he is joined by prominent figures from the game, past and present. David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Gianluigi Buffon and Aitana Bonmati are all on the Ultimate edition cover.
Following the confirmation of Bellingham as the main cover star, his former club, Tom Brady's Birmingham City, posted a tribute to their hero. "From Birmingham to FC25 Cover Star," read the message. "Jude just continues to shine."
