David Beckham sends moving birthday message to son Romeo amid reports ex-Inter Miami & Brentford prospect is quitting football to pursue new career

Beckham's second oldest child, Romeo, turned 22 on Sunday, prompting the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star to pay tribute to the youngster. The Inter Miami co-owner said he is "proud" of the person he has become in a heart-warming social media post.

He wrote on Instagram: "Happy 22nd Birthday to my beautiful boy... We are so proud of the man you have turned into, kind, passionate, and hard working... Have the most amazing day because you deserve it... Love you mate so much 🩷 @romeobeckham @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven 🩷."

This comes at a time when Romeo, who previously took in a spell with Inter Miami's reserves, has reportedly turned down the chance to stay at Brentford B to begin a new career in fashion. His mother Victoria Beckham has allegedly inspired him to go down this path, with Romeo understood to have signed with top fashion agent, Safe Management.

While speculation will continue to mount over what Romeo does next in his life and career, his father's current team, Inter Miami, return to Major League Soccer action on September 15 against the Philadelphia Union.
