The start of the game lacked fluidity due to several robust challenges from both teams, which disrupted the flow and limited goal-scoring opportunities. Pirates had an early opportunity after ten minutes when Evidence Makgopa attempted a curled shot, but Ronwen Williams made a save.&nbsp;The home team managed to withstand the pressure and nearly took the lead on the half-hour mark when Peter Shalulile's header from a Thembinkosi Lorch play went wide. However, neither team managed to score, as the first half ended with the score tied at 0-0. The second half mirrored the first, with tackles being made by both teams. The Buccaneers suffered a significant setback when Miguel Timm received a second yellow card in the 54th minute for an unnecessary interception while Williams attempted to clear the ball from his penalty area.The game continued to progress when Marcelo Allende opened the scoring in the 76th minute to give Sundowns a 1-0 lead. Shortly after, Pirates were granted a penalty, resulting in defender Tapelo Xoki successfully converting it to equalise - making it 1-1. The match ended in a 1-1 draw as Sundowns remain at the <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-za/psl/table/yv73ms6v1995b5wny16jcfi3">top of the table</a> with 39 points, while Bucs keep their place in fifth with 26 points.
