Chelsea announced on Friday that they will embark on a tour of the United States for the third year in a row as part of their preparations for the 2024-25 campaign. The dates, venues and the opposition they will face while on tour are yet to be confirmed.

WHAT HAPPENED?

One of the teams they are expected to come up against is Premier League rivals Manchester City. It was reported recently that the two English giants <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/erling-haaland-coming-united-states-man-city-chelsea-2024-25-pre-season-friendly-columbus-ohio/blt68b03a2feeb63aef" target="_blank">have agreed to play a match in Columbus, Ohio</a>, while City will go on to pay visits to North Carolina, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Maryland and Chicago.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Those two will not be the only English top-flight teams to travel around the North American nation during the summer period. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/premier-league-u-s-man-utd-liverpool-arsenal-pre-season-tours-los-angeles-philadelphia-columbia/blt8bac41e626072aaa" target="_blank">Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all set to play matches there</a>, too, with the Gunners coming up against the Red Devils at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on July 27. Arsenal and Liverpool will then meet on July 31 in Philadelphia before the Reds meet United in South Carolina in August.
