Per The Secret Scout, Crystal Palace reportedly made contact with the Blues on Friday night as they look to sign their out-of-favour full-back Ben Chilwell on loan for the remainder of the season. The terms of the deal are yet to be discussed between the two clubs and they have to speed up the process to seal the move before the January transfer window slams shut on Monday.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Chilwell was earlier linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus but the Daily Mail reported this week that the Italian side's interest had dried up. The defender was one of the players who fell out of favour at the Blues immediately after Enzo Maresca was appointed head coach last summer. The England international was advised by the new manager to find another club and was even banished from the squad.
