Bayern Munich returned to their habit of winning the Bundesliga as they beat the defending champions Bayer Leverkusen to the title. However, it wasn't the perfect season for Harry Kane's side as has generally been the norm for them after they were dumped out early in the DFB Pokal and failed in the Champions League quarter-final. As such, the Bavarians are considering attempting a squad clear-out to allow them enough of a budget to make new signings this summer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
German publication BILD (h/t @iMiaSanMia on X) have now reported that Bayern Munich believe that they could raise close to €165 million (£140m/$191m) from player sales this summer. Following their permanent sale of striker Mathys Tel to Tottenham Hotspur, they have already raised €35 million (£30m). Additionally, the Bavarians are also prioritising the departures of Kingsley Coman, Kim Min-jae and Joao Palhinha, all of whom could fetch a similar price as Tel.

Bayern are also reportedly ready to incur losses to offload two of their 2024 signings: Bryan Zaragoza and Sacha Boey. Additionally, they are prepared to conduct the sale of goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, if a club offers €8 million (£6.8m/$9.2m) for him.

WHAT NEXT FOR BAYERN?
Vincent Kompany will be keen on focusing on the Club World Cup first and foremost, as that would see them gain a financial boost. However, after the tournament, the Belgian will quickly have to shift his focus toward preparations for the upcoming season.
