American rapper Saweetie hugs Jadon Sancho on visit to Chelsea for Blues' Premier League battle with Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge

The American pop star flew across the Atlantic to touch down in London, and within hours of landing she headed to Stamford Bridge to watch Enzo Maresca's men in action. She received a warm welcome from Sancho and was gifted a club jersey before kick-off.

Chelsea were back in midweek Premier League action after a dominating 5-0 victory over Morecambe in the FA Cup on Saturday. They did not have to wait long to break the deadlock with Cole Palmer finding the net in the 13th minute to put their noses in front.

Saweetie's career kicked off in 2017 with a song titled Icy Girl, which went on to receive a double platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The track was such a success that she went on to sign with Warner Records. Her song Best Friend earned a Grammy nomination in the Best Rap/Sung Performance category.

Chelsea have a rather relaxing January when compared to some of their Premier League rivals, as the Blues will play only two more matches this month. They will host Wolves in their next top-flight fixture on January 20 before travelling to the Etihad to take on Manchester City five days later.
