LAFC has re-signed defender Jordan Harvey for the 2019 MLS season, the <a href="https://www.lafc.com/post/2019/01/02/lafc-re-signs-defender-jordan-harvey" target="_blank">club has announced</a>.&nbsp; The 34-year-old started 23 games for Bob Bradley's side in 2018 but was out of contract at the end of the season.&nbsp;

The <a href="https://www.chicago-fire.com/post/2019/01/03/chicago-fire-soccer-club-signs-head-coach-veljko-paunovi-multi-year-contract" target="_blank">Chicago Fire have announced</a> a contract extension for head coach&nbsp;Veljko Paunovic.&nbsp; Paunovic is entering his third season as the club's boss and has been handed a new multi-year deal.&nbsp; “We believe the foundation we are setting and the standards we are demanding are the right ones in developing our championship program,” said Chicago Fire President and General Manager Nelson Rodríguez in a club statement. “Continuity is a critical element in that process and retaining Pauno for the next few years as a leader in that effort was an important off-season objective.” &nbsp;

Parma are closing in on the signing of Uruguayan defender&nbsp;Martin Caceres from Lazio, according to <a href="https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/lazio-parma-deal-for-defender-caceres-down-to-final-details" target="_blank">Gianluca Di Marzio</a>.&nbsp; The former Juventus man has struggled for minutes so far this season and is on the verge of signing a deal through 2020 with&nbsp;Roberto D'Aversa's promising outfit.&nbsp;

A "lucrative" offer has been submitted by an unnamed MLS club for the services of&nbsp;Augsburg goalkeeper Andreas Luthe, according to <a href="https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/fussball/torhueter-beben-fca-kobel-da-zieht-luthe-in-die-usa-59348182.bild.html" target="_blank">Bild</a>.&nbsp; The 31-year-old spent most of his career in 2. Bundesliga with&nbsp;Bochum​ before making the jump to&nbsp;Augsburg​ in the summer of 2016.&nbsp;

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is not prepared to release Aaron Ramsey until his contract is up in the summer, reports the <a href="https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/unai-emery-tells-arsenal-chiefs-13808236" target="_blank">Mirror</a>. The Welshman, who is now free to negotiate a free transfer with overseas clubs, has attracted strong interest from Juventus. But Emery does not want to compromise his squad as they fight on three separate fronts and has told Arsenal chiefs that he will not allow a January sale in a bid to earn a fee from the midfielder.
