VIDEO: Douglas Luiz’s controversial goal celebration mocked by Alejandro Garnacho & Amad Diallo in Man Utd training

The Aston Villa midfielder, who is dating club colleague Alisha Lehmann, was on target during a Premier League clash on February 11. Luiz restored parity in that game, following Rasmus Hojlund’s opener, and proceeded to kneel down and shimmy in front of United stars Andre Onana and Raphael Varane.

The Red Devils had the last laugh, as Scott McTominay snatched a dramatic 86th-minute winner, and Luiz’s actions have not been forgotten at Old Trafford. The South American has seemingly become a figure of fun to certain members of Erik ten Hag’s squad.

A video of footage from a United training session shows Argentina international Garnacho mimicking Luiz’s supposedly cocky celebration after completing a drill – with team-mates Amad and Willy Kambwala also getting in on the action.

United will not cross paths with Villa again until the 2024-25 campaign, with their focus currently locked on trying to chase the Villans down in a late scramble for top-four places in the Premier League – with the Red Devils nine points off that pace at present but boasting a game in hand on rivals from the West Midlands.
