Denis OnyangoThe legendary Uganda Cranes shot-stopper announced his retirement from the national team recently. He is, however, still active at club level where he is turning out for Mamelodi Sundowns. The 36-year-old made more than 80 appearances for the national team.
Isaac IsindeThe defender made his debut for Cranes in 2010 and started the 2017 game against Ghana. He has since made over 60 appearances for the national team, scoring two goals in the process. Isinde is currently with Hadiya Hossana FC of Ethiopia.
Joseph OchayaThe 27-year-left back has been a consistent figure for the East African side since 2012. He is currently plying his trade at Congolese heavyweights Tout Puissant Mazembe, commonly referred to as TP Mazembe.
Denis IgumaIguma remains one of the senior members in the Uganda national team. After plying his trade abroad for Al-Ahed SC and Bekaa Club, both in Lebanon, the defender is contracted at KCCA FC in the Ugandan Premier League.

Anthony MawejjeThe 34-year-old veteran midfielder has been in active football since 2003 when he started at Masaka Local Council FC. After 10 years abroad, the player is now with Police FC of Uganda.
Hassan WasswaThe defensive midfielder ended his career with the national team this year after serving them for 13 years. However, just like Onyango, he is still active, turning out for Saudi Arabian outfit Jeddah Club. He made 75 appearances for Cranes.
Geoffrey KizitoThe 28-year-old made his debut for Cranes in 2012 and wowed many with his style of play. He has not been a regular of late owing to different reasons, but he is still active and plays for Than Quang Ninh FC in Vietnam.
Micheal AziraThis is another member of the 2017 Afcon team who announced his retirement from the national team this year. He served the national team for six years and is currently an active member for New Mexico United who are playing in the USL Championship.
Farouk MiyaThe attacking midfielder has been a key member of the team and played a huge role to help them qualify for continental assignments. At just 23, he definitely has a long way to go. Currently, he is playing for Konyaspor Kulubu in Turkey.
Geoffrey MassaThe striker has been playing abroad since 2005; he was a key player for Cranes in the qualifiers. He has so far played for Cranes in 69 matches, scoring 22 goals. The 35-year-old is in Turkey where he is playing for Kucuk Kaymaklı Turk S.K.

Luwagga KizitoThe 27-year-old attacker has been an influential figure for the East Africans. He remains a senior member of the team since 2012 when he made his debut. Kizito is currently with the Israeli top-flight charges Hapoel Kfar Saba FC.
