WHAT HAPPENED?
Wrexham are plotting a move to sign Fleetwood Town striker Jack Marriott on a permanent transfer before the January transfer window closes on Wednesday, according to Football Insider. The report also states that The Red Dragons will face competition from teams like Stevenage and Oxford, both of whom are also keen on adding the forward to their ranks.

Wrexham are yet to make a new signing in the ongoing transfer window, although Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are thought to be willing to release funds for the right targets. Marriott, who has scored five League One goals in 24 appearances so far this season, could prove to be a valuable signing for a club that already have quality attacking options like Paul Mullin, Ollie Palmer and Elliot Lee in their squad.
