    WHAT GREENWOOD SAID

Greenwood told reporters: "I hope to be here next year to play in the Champions League. Some players tell me that playing in the Champions League here is something special. It was a very positive season. We achieved all our goals, we qualified for the Champions League.

"I feel better on the right flank. But wherever they want me to play, I'll do it. If I have to play defence, I'll do it. What matters is what the coach wants. In the middle of the season, maybe I wasn't at my best, I probably had some defensive difficulties, but everyone supported me. We realized with the coach that there were things to do in training to resolve these difficulties. We really managed to stay united. But it's only been one season, it will be better with experience."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Greenwood has been linked with moves back to the Premier League after scoring 19 goals in 33 appearances this season. There is also said to be interest from Barcelona in a summer move.
