Both players will cost £80m (€93m)
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to the Daily Star, the reigning European and English champions reportedly sent scouts to monitor the performances of German midfielders Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz during the Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen last week.
Pep Guardiola is known to be an admirer of both the midfielders and the Cityzens are seriously considering bidding for the duo in the summer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
City, though, will face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool who have remained interested in signing the two players for a long time now. The Reds too had sent their representatives to the top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash which saw Leverkusen emerge victorious and extend their lead over Bayern Munich.
DID YOU KNOW?
Both the Bundesliga clubs are expected to demand a transfer fee in the region of £80 million (€93 million) for their respective players. Musiala, who has only two years left in his existing contract, could move out of the club in the summer as he is yet to hold talks over a new deal.
