Lifeline for Jadon Sancho? Man Utd outcast offered escape route after Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona snubs as new Bundesliga club register interest

The 23-year-old, who struggled to replicate his impressive form from Borussia Dortmund after moving to the Premier League in 2021, has faced challenges under manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutch tactician banished Sancho from the first-team squad following a public fallout in September, leading to speculations about a January transfer.

According to Bild, RB Leipzig has expressed interest and are considering a January move for the right winger.

However, Leipzig are apprehensive of Sancho's £17 million-a-year salary and the figure could pose a challenge to any potential move. Barcelona and Juventus are also monitoring Sancho's situation but it is unlikely that they would match his wage demands unless he agrees to take a massive pay cut.

Recent reports revealed that United's football director, John Murtough, explored interest from Saudi Pro League clubs for high-profile players, including Sancho, Casemiro, Anthony Martial, and Raphael Varane. However, no deals were agreed upon during Murtough's trip to Saudi Arabia.

Sancho's last competitive appearance came in a United shirt back in late August during a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest. And after he responded on social media to Ten Hag,claiming he was being made a "scapegoat", he was banished by the manager. Although, the Dutch tactician has insisted that he is ready to welcome him back to the fold if he offers an apology, offloading the player is reportedly a priority for the club in the upcoming winter transfer window.
