The Red Devils were held to a 2-2 draw on Saturday in the Premier League by Bournemouth which saw them slip to the seventh in the league. After the game, the Dutch manager was asked about the possibility of the club having their worst possible finish in the history of the Premier League but he decided to dodge the question and storm out of the post-match press conference.

Right after the question about the team's worst-ever Premier League finish was asked, the United boss stood up from his chair and left the room before saying: "I don't comment. I won't take that question. That is not important."

Since the inception of the Premier League in the 1992-93 season, United have finished outside the top four only on five occasions, with their worst finish being seventh under David Moyes' tutelage during the 2013-14 campaign.

Ten Hag's side will now shift their focus to cup competition as they are scheduled to face Coventry next in the semi-final of the FA Cup on April 21.
