THE BIGGER PICTURE
Liverpool's Alexander-Arnold had to leave the pitch in the 22nd minute of the club's Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday. The defender underwent tests and the reports have revealed he has avoided serious injury, however, the player won't appear for the Three Lions as he still faces a layoff. On Sunday, during the Arsenal and Chelsea clash, Mikel Arteta was forced to sub-off Rice and Saka due to injuries and later the manager provided a worrying update on the duo's condition.
Carsley will manage the English national team in his last two games as interim boss against Greece on Thursday and Ireland on Sunday before he passes the baton to Thomas Tuchel.
