Barcelona make Liverpool forward No. 1 transfer target ahead of summer window as Hansi Flick's side aim to bring in back-up for Lamine Yamal and Raphinha
Barcelona have shown strong interest in signing Liverpool star Luis Diaz in the summer as they look to bolster their attack.
Barcelona enjoyed a fantastic 2024-25 campaign, winning three domestic trophies, including their latest triumph in La Liga after their 2-0 win over Espanyol earlier this week. The club have started the celebrations with a massive open bus parade, but they have also started preparing for the next season and have prepared a shortlist of players they want to sign to further strengthen their squad.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Per Relevo, the Catalan giants have reportedly made Liverpool's star forward Diaz their number one priority in the summer transfer window. The Colombian has a contract at Anfield until 2027, and the striker is yet to sign an extension. Athletic Club's Nico Williams also features in the Blaugrana's list, but Diaz's name reportedly appears over the Spanish sensation. Diaz, however, will cost Barcelona over €80 million (£67m/$89m), and his signing will depend on whether the club can offload some of their current squad members, due to their ongoing financial crisis.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
Speaking to ESPN, sporting director Deco admitted that the club need more attacking options. He said, "We feel very dependent on Raphinha and Lamine. Maybe we need similar players."
