<p>Since Ruben Amorim<a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/time-finally-runs-out-for-erik-ten-hag-man-utd-set-to-sack-coach-nightmare-start/bltbc78659f6992704c" target="_blank"> replaced Erik ten Hag</a> as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/ruben-amorim-new-man-utd-head-coach-red-devils-confirm-appointment-portuguese-boss-start-date-delayed-two-weeks/blt557a09768631c671" target="_blank">United's new manager</a>, speculation has mounted that the Portuguese will bring some of his old Sporting players to Old Trafford. But prolific forward Gyokeres has ruled out a January transfer exit but did suggest his long-term future was uncertain.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>He told <em>Fotbollskanalen</em> when asked about a possible January move: "It's not something I think about, nor something I give any importance to. It's just rumours, nothing concrete. Of course, I want to finish the season at Sporting, I'm enjoying my time there. I don't feel stressed about making a change in the future. We'll see when the time comes."</p><p>On the United rumours, he added: "[Amorim] probably already has strikers there... It's fun but not something I attach any importance to because it's talk and nothing concrete."</p>

WHAT VIKTOR GYOKERES SAID

<p>Amorim himself has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/incoming-man-utd-boss-ruben-amorim-reveals-viktor-gyokeres-transfer-plan-sporting-cp-hat-trick-hero-man-city/bltf1c3d272e4e339b0">not ruled out Gyokeres coming to United</a> next summer, but the 26-year-old will not come on the cheap as he has a reported release clause of €100 million (£83m/$107m) in his contract. Despite that, reports suggest he may be allowed in 2025 for <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/viktor-gyokeres-bargain-summer-man-utd-premier-league-rivals-100m-sporting-cp-release-clause/blt6a17710f3410a02d#cs2913e098d0a1936f">as little as around £63m ($81m)</a>. Whether United get to the Swedish international first remains to be seen.</p>

<p>Gyokeres, who scored a whopping 66 goals in 68 games for Sporting under Amorim, will hope to deliver more silverware for the Portuguese giants this season. Then, the transfer rumours will go into overdrive.</p>
