Premier League round 4 Preview: Liverpool look to go marching on

The fourth round of action in the FA Premier League is set to get underway this weekend, with Liverpool looking to continue their excellent start to the season. The Reds have won all three of their games, are yet to concede a goal and travel to take on Leicester City this coming Saturday (1 September).

Chelsea also looking to maintain 100 per cent record

Chelsea host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday also looking to make it four wins in a row at the start of the season. However, they are up against a Bournemouth side who are also undefeated, having collected seven points from their opening three matches.

And the Blues will be looking for revenge against their next opponent. Back in January, Bournemouth recorded a shock 3-0 win in west London –a result that is priced at a whopping 151.00 this time, although Bournemouth will likely look to take the game to their more illustrious opponents once again.

But it is home side Chelsea who are the clear favourites to win their fourth successive match this term. The Blues are at just 1.30 to take the points, with Bournemouth out at 11.00 to repeat their success here last season, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment.

A comfortable, 3-1 win for Chelsea is priced at 11.00, and given the way these two teams play goals is a reasonable expectation. Over 2.5 goals in the game is at just 1.40, while both teams to score is slightly higher at 1.75.

Watford and Tottenham both have 100 per cent records – something has to give

And finally, Sunday afternoon will see two teams who have won  all three of their league games so far meet t Vicarage Road, when Watford host Tottenham Hotspur. JaviGracia has replaced the departing Marco Silva at Watford and, given the summer to prepare his squad, has made an excellent start to the campaign.

The Hornets have beaten Brighton, Burnley and Crystal Palace so far, but there is no doubt Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino will offer them their most stringent test to date. Spurs are another side with a 100 per cent record and something will simply have to give on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham have beaten Newcastle, Fulham and then put in a hugely impressive performance to beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford. They can therefore come into this game at Watford absolutely brimming with confidence.

And it is visitors Tottenham who come into the game as favourites to keep their winning streak going. Spurs are at just 1.65 to record their fourth straight win, with Watford at 5.50 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.20.

And there is no denying that the technical quality of this Tottenham squad is far greater than that of Watford. A narrow, 2-1 win for Spurs is priced at 9.00, coming close to a ten-fold return on any investment – and England forward Harry Kane is the favourite to get his name on the score sheet at just 1.66.
