'Our goalkeeping situation is as good as possible' - Klopp rules out Liverpool move for Hart

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out making a summer move for Manchester City's Joe Hart, saying his side's goalkeeping situation is “as good as possible”.

Conte: Utd & City better than Chelsea

Mignolet has also flattered to deceive during his time at Liverpool and therefore the club have been strongly linked with City shot-stopper Hart, who is currently on loan at Torino.

Hart believes he is “surplus to requirements” at City while Pep Guardiola has also revealed there has been no decision made on whether the England international will remain at the Etihad Stadium.

But Hart may have to look elsewhere if he is to find another Premier League side after City following Klopp's reiteration that he is satisfied with Karius, Mignolet and third choice Alex Manninger.

Luis Enrique: A Barca legend

“We have these really, really good goalkeepers,” said Klopp.

“We have with Mr (Alex) Manninger - a wonderful professional player in the squad which helps the squad a lot.

“We have young players in behind including Danny Ward on loan (at Huddersfield). Our situation is as good as possible. I am happy most of the days.

“One day when a goalkeeper is involved in a goal which happens quite a few times.

Griezmann: Why leave Atleti for Utd?

“It is the life of a goalkeeper that you are the last man standing. Then you are not too happy but I am happy with our goalkeepers, yes.”

Hart is currently enjoying a fruitful spell at Torino with Sinisa Mihajlovic's outfit riding high in ninth place in Serie A.
