FKF set to receive Sh100m from Fifa for women's football development

Football Kenya Federation is set to receive close to Sh100 million from Fifa for the women’s football development.

The funds, according to FKF boss, Nick Mwendwa, will cater for among other projects, coaching courses, grass root football and participation in the games, for the next one year.

"It is a nice project and it is interesting to know that they have been chosen to be among the countries to benefit from the funds.

“This shows that we are among the top countries that lead in the development of women’s football and we intend to do even more now that the funds will be available,” Mwendwa told Goal.

But Mwendwa insists that the funds will not be channeled to any other project other than the one they have been set for, lest Kenya attract sanction from Fifa.
