That said, the likes of Koki Saito, who is already a regular in the J-League, and captain Mitsuki Saito are talented and could help them spring a surprise.

There are six players on the squad&nbsp;who play either in the United States or Mexico, mostly in the lower divisions, but that experience could serve them well.

That includes Cristian Calix, an attacking midfielder currently with Atlas who is great at creating chances and capable of finishing on his own.

Los Catrachos' group draw is kinder than the last two World Cups, in which they faced France and Germany.

Andrea Pinamonti has enjoyed a fine campaign in Serie A with Frosinone, and&nbsp;Paolo Nicolato's team will be aiming to go one better than their predecessors, who lost out in the semi-finals before finishing third in the 2017 edition of the tournament.

Mexico may have&nbsp;an Olympic gold medal and a pair of titles at&nbsp;Under-17 level, but they have never won an Under-20 crown.

The team that will look to change that has top-level talent in Real Betis winger Diego Lainez and Leon forward Jose Juan Macias (once he arrives from the Liga MX play-offs) providing their attacking spark.

Defensive depth will be a concern for El Tri, who&nbsp;called-up only six natural defenders into the squad. Many of them already have first-team experience, but when challenged at the Concacaf tournament, Mexico conceded too many goals.

Lainez and Macias will need to pull their weight up front and hope for a few good showings from their team-mates at the back if Mexico are&nbsp;going to make a run at a first World Cup victory.&nbsp;

Norway booked their place at the tournament by upsetting reigning champions England in a play-off and, as such, are regarded as dangerous underdogs.

Their star player is Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Haaland, whose father Alfie-Inge played for both Manchester City and Leeds United in the Premier League.

He is not the only famous offspring among the squad, with Stabaek midfielder Emil Bohinen's father, Lars, having played for Derby County in the English top-flight.

It is the fifth consecutive U20 World Cup featuring the Junior All Whites, who have established themselves as the main power in the Oceania region.

The Kiwis have only ever reached the round-of-16 – a stage they exited at in the last two tournaments – and will be keen to again progress to the knockouts despite being drawn in a tough group featuring Uruguay, Norway and Honduras.

The squad features two established A-League players from Wellington Phoenix in talented playmaker Sarpreet Singh and wing-back Liberato Cacace.

Goalkeeper Michael Woud is on the books of Eredivisie club Willem II and made his senior debut for the club on March 29 and keep an eye out for promising striker Ben Waine, who impressed in a late-season cameo for the Phoenix.

The results weren't great, but when Panama took the field at its first World Cup, it was clear things are changing for this baseball-obsessed nation.

There's a new generation inspired by the players who made their World Cup debut in Russia who want to get back to the biggest stage and will not just be happy to be there. This team is the start of Panama's soccer continuity.

While Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Eduardo Guerrero and LA Galaxy II midfielder Ernesto Walker already have caps with the senior team, the attack is an area of concern after failing to score&nbsp;in a pair of pre-tournament friendly matches.

Still, those players plus Philadelphia Union prospect Saed Diaz should be able to mount some sort of offensive pressure, while a strong defensive base could frustrate opponents.

A poor defensive record has been a major contributing factor, even though the player around most of their hopes are built, Cagliari's&nbsp;Sebastian Walukiewicz, is a centre-back.&nbsp;

The youngest member of their squad also deserves some attention, with midfielder Mateusz Bogusz having earned rave reviews since arriving at Leeds United in January. Indeed, he is already being linked with a move to&nbsp;Napoli.

Despite losing the much-coveted Joao Felix to the senior squad in recent months, Portugal arrive at the tournament as one of the favourites to go on and lift the trophy a year on from winning the Under-19 European Championships in Finland.

Benfica forward Jota is the man to look out for while fellow attacked Rafael Leao is coming off a breakthrough season with Lille that has seen him linked with a move to Everton this summer.

Portugal are building something of a 'Golden Generation' at present, and the likes of Benfica midfield duo Florentino and Gedson Fernandes, as well as Braga winger Trincao, could become household names in years to come.

This is just the fourth&nbsp;time they have qualified for the Under-20 World Cup, with much of their hopes resting on Indonesian-born forward&nbsp;Andri Syahputra.

Saudi fans have high expectations for the&nbsp; Asian U20 champions to go far in Poland, especially given that they will be&nbsp;led by the best young Asian player in 2018, Turki Al-Ammar.

It is rare for the national team to enter a major tournament with a homegrown coach, so Khaled Al-Atwi is particularly keen to prove his worth, as well as help the nation forget about the poor performances of the senior side at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Opportunities at senior level have not been forthcoming for many of the Saudi squad at club level, so they will also be eager to have a successful tournament in order to either earn themselves&nbsp;starting spots domestically or a&nbsp;summer transfer to bigger clubs at home or abroad.

Their target will be reaching the quarter-finals, which seems achievable having been drawn alongside France, Mali and Panama in the group stage.
