<p>After being <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/enzo-maresca-raheem-sterling-chelsea-bomb-squad-transfer-window/blt23a0596a4479da5f" target="_blank">frozen out at Chelsea under Enzo Maresca</a> in the summer, Sterling <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/raheem-sterling-arsenal-perfect-fit-forward-claims-surprising-gunners-shirt-number-chelsea-exit/bltdc7b82823bb11110" target="_blank">joined the Gunners on loan at the end of the transfer window</a>. Havertz was shocked by the news of the England international's arrival and is delighted to be playing alongside him again.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>"It's so nice to have him back. I didn't speak to him before he came because I didn't even know he was coming! I was looking on my phone and I just saw he's close to joining Arsenal," he said to <a href="https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/13223065/kai-havertz-interview-arsenal-forward-says-mikel-artetas-gunners-are-stepping-up-with-captain-martin-odegaard-out-injured" target="_blank"><em>Sky Sports</em></a>. "I saw him after our game against Brighton and it was nice to see him again because I already had a good relationship with him at Chelsea. He's a top-class player, he proved it so many times in the Premier League already. I think it's great to have him here and I think he's really going to enjoy his time here."</p>

WHAT HAVERTZ SAID

<p>The winger has made three appearances for the north London team since his arrival, making his first start for the club when they beat Bolton 5-1 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday after being an unused substitute in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City last week.</p>

<p>Havertz and Sterling will expect to be involved when Mikel Arteta's team meet Leicester in the Premier League on Saturday. The Gunners are two points behind leaders Manchester City. </p>
