WHAT HAPPENED?

Palmer is not particularly pleased with the progress he has made on his top lip so far, in what is a considerable image change for him, but time is still on his side when it comes to producing something slightly more flamboyant.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Red Dragons star has said when asked about his moustache-growing efforts: “How’s it going for me? Terribly. I look horrendous! But it’s worth it. It’s all for a great cause and trying to raise as much money. It’s not just me, there are six or seven other lads – players and staff – involved.”

WHAT THEY SAID

Palmer, who starred alongside top scorer Paul Mullin last season as Wrexham <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/ryan-reynods-apologised-put-fcking-shirt-on-jibe-wrexham-ollie-palmer-wife-blake-lively/bltd614852613f5d788" target="_blank">secured a record-breaking promotion back to the Football League</a>, has registered five goals through 21 appearances in all competitions this term – helping Phil Parkinson’s side up to second place in the League Two table as <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/not-stitch-anyone-up-what-like-star-welcome-to-wrexham-documentary-ollie-palmer-ryan-reynolds-rob-mcelhenney/blt64a00e837e80e37d" target="_blank">co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney</a> are given plenty to get excited about.
