Ulinzi Stars coach Dunstan Nyaudo singles out duo for praise ahead of Gor Mahia clash

Ulinzi Stars coach Dunstan Nyaudo singled out debutante Boniface Andayi and Enosh Ochieng for special praise after the Soldiers’ 1-0 victory over Wazito FC.

Ulinzi Stars labored to force a slim margin win over a struggling Wazito and Nyaudo noticed the contributions of two of his players, defender Andanyi, who was given his maiden match this season as well as Ochieng who salvaged three crucial points for the Army side in Kericho.

Ochieng's goal was his third in four matches this season, after netting in the wins over Chemelil Sugar, and Riverplate earlier on.

Nyaudo has tipped Ochieng, who has been struggling with injury, for massive growth if he can stay injury free.

“I have always seen Enosh as our main man up there. He has been scoring consistently lately and I am sure he will keep improving because he can push himself. He plays for the team and not himself and he also follows instructions. He will definitely make big steps in his career if he can stay injury free,” Nyaudo told the club website, Ulinzistarsfc.com.

On Andayi, Nyaudo said: “Andayi is a growing player and you can see his commitment at the back; he is a player that is so promising and in him, I can see a future center back for Kenya with the way he is coming up.

Nyaudo has had to do with a lengthy injury list in the recent times. Going into the Wazito game, Ulinzi Stars missed at least eight first-team players but he is confident in the abilities of players available.

Ulinzi Stars are set to face off with Gor Mahia on Wednesday before tackling Kariobangi Sharks in the FKF Shield semifinal on Sunday.
