Sofiane Feghouli nears Galatasaray switch

Turkish giants Galatasaray are close to agreeing on a £4.5million deal with West Ham United for Algerian midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.

Cimbom chiefs were in London for talks with Hammers officials last week and look to have struck a deal for the transfer of the 27-year-old according to Turkish news outlet Posta.

Feghouli has been hit by injuries since arriving on a three-year deal from Valencia last summer and was restricted to only 27 appearances, from which he bagged four goals.

The Turkish giants’ coach Igor Tudor revealed he’s had discussions with the club's president about the capture of the Algerian international.

“I held discussions with our president Dursun Aydin Ozbek and told him that Feghouli has the abilities we are looking for,” Tudor was quoted.

“Feghouli is a player who interests us, and signing him will be very good for our team.”

Now he is set to play for Tudor, who was a Croatia team-mate of West Ham boss Slaven Bilic.
