Cape Town City winger Bhongolwethu Jayiya said his goodbyes to his teammates after failing to agree on a new deal with the club.
Jayiya’s contract will expire at the end of this month and there were talks of City looking to offer him a new deal.
However, the Soweto-born winger has since decided to leave the City of Cape Town for pasture anew.
According to reports, Jayiya has now become a target for the Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates after his few impressive performances last season.
He made history by scoring the quickest hat-trick in PSL history in a 4-1 drubbing of Chippa United in April 2017.
Apart from interest from Amakhosi and Bucs, Platinum Stars and Golden Arrows are also believed to be gunning for his services.
It remains to be seen where the 27-year-old will ply his trade next season.
