Sadio Mane's exploits for Bayern Munich in their 6-2 Bundesliga victory against Mainz 05 has left fans blaming Liverpool, who suffered a 2-1 Premier League defeat against Leeds United for letting the forward leave Anfield.
The Senegal international was in great form for the Bavarians as he set up two goals and was on the scoresheet at Allianz Arena on Saturday. He first set up Serge Gnabry for the opener in the fifth minute and then scored the third goal before the half-time break.
The 30-year-old Mane then laid the pass for the fourth goal scored by Leon Goretzka before he was substituted in the 76th minute.
Meanwhile, back at Anfield, Liverpool suffered their second straight top-flight defeat of the season against the Peacocks.
The defeat came after they had lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest on October 22. The outcome of Liverpool's game has left many fans descending on social media to blame their problems on the exit of the Lion of Teranga.
