Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo made a last-gasp howler as Swansea City came from behind to earn a dramatic 2-1 Championship victory over Wrexham in the Welsh derby on Friday evening. Second-half strikes from Zan Vipotnik and Adam Idah helped Vitor Matos' side secure the bragging rights after Phil Parkinson's visitors had taken the lead thanks to an own goal from defender Cameron Burgess.

Wrexham earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw as an inspired Arthur Okonkwo helped his side withstand an Ipswich Town onslaught at Portman Road. Phil Parkinson's men mustered just two shots to the home team's 18 and were greatly indebted to Okonkwo's brilliance in goal. While many will be concerned about their attack, their defence held steadfast once more in the Championship.

Wrexham's difficult start to life in the Championship continued, as they lost 3-1 at home to Queens Park Rangers. The Londoners took the spoils thanks to a Conor Coady own goal, a thunderous strike from recently recruited striker Richard Kone, and a smart breakway finish by Rumran Burrell. The Red Dragons third loss of the season came in front of co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

Wrexham's final pre-season friendly ended in a 3-1 defeat against Dutch side Groningen, following on from an earlier 1-0 loss against the same club behind closed doors.
