Per Mertesacker may have played for Arsene Wenger for the last six years, but apparently there is plenty more for the two to learn about one another.
This was proven in a question and answer session set up by Arsenal ahead of the Premier League season opener between the two on a variety of subjects that often had little to do with their experiences on the pitch.

The pair traded fun questions and funnier answers as they go back and forth on things like "who will look better in 30 years" and "what is Mertesacker’s favorite pet" - prompting quite the reaction from the Gunners boss.
