  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The United States international is fondly known as ‘Captain America’ in his homeland and has become a talismanic presence at club level for Serie A giants AC Milan. Despite seeing his celebrity status grow across the USA and Europe, Pulisic remains something of a private figure.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

He has never been one for outlandish statements or purchases and carefully chooses when and where he enters into discussions with the media or partnerships with market-leading brands. Pulisic is happy to stick with a system that works for him, even if the era he graces is dominated by those with a greater online presence.

  • WHAT PULISIC SAID

Pulisic has told Boardroom of focusing on what matters most, with the 26-year-old more concerned with fine tuning his game that harvesting likes: “I’m probably not someone that is the most outgoing and need to have 100 social posts to make me look a certain way. Some people really like that, and that’s cool too.

“I think that maybe there is some kind of expectation from people to say ‘they are such a big athlete, they need to give their opinion on this, show themselves in this way, they need to be cool’. I’ve never really thought like that. I just give my best on the field and if I want to post something or have a brand partnership that makes sense with me, then I go for it. I try not to put any pressure on myself in that way.”
