It was a disastrous evening for Rooney's troops at Carrow Road as they conceded half a dozen, with Borja Sainz netting his second hat-trick of the season. The defeat saw Plymouth slip to the 20th position in the Championship table and the fans are already clamouring to see the Manchester United legend's exit.

Rooney has failed to find a solution to his scoring woes and the leaky defence has not helped either. In fact, they are one of the lowest-scoring sides in the league having netted just 18 times in 17 matches, while shipping 34 goals - the worst defensive record among all 24 teams.

If Rooney continues to be at the helm, even after this disastrous result, he will get an opportunity to make amends against Bristol City on November 30 in their next Championship fixture.
