Wrexham took on Chelsea in a glamour friendly in the United States in pre-season. Mullin has been chatting about the match with former team-mate Ben Foster after releasing his autobiography. The Wrexham striker revealed how he was taken aback by the reception he received from fans as he walked out and joked about how he reacted to the applause.

"It was ridiculous. Like the whole stadium, there was 55,000 people in there, stand up cheering and screaming at the top of their voices. That for me? I started walking like [Conor] McGregor after that!" he said, and even mimicked the UFC legend's famous strut.
