Turner, who was part of United's first women's team in this iteration when they formed in 2018, has decided to extend her time at the club, penning a new deal running until 2028. She was accompanied at the signing by her dog, Pongo.

Pongo is a regular on Turner's social media channels, and has previously been seen joining up with the Lionesses at their St George's Park training base.

"I'm buzzing!" Turner told United's club channels of her extension. "I'm so happy, I feel like this is where I belong, it's home for me. Being here for so long, it does feel like home. We've created such an amazing family here, that's why it's so special."
Regarding bringing Pongo to the signing, she added: "Who better than bringing Pongo? He's the best little dog ever. Hopefully everyone can see those photos and he's the new assistant manager!"
