  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Chelsea took the lead against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge in the 24th minute when Trevoh Chalobah headed home a free-kick from Conor Gallagher. Defending set-pieces has been a problem for Spurs all season and Postecoglou was clearly unhappy at his team's latest efforts.

  • WHAT POSTECOGLOU HAS SAID

The Tottenham boss did speak about the issue before the match. He said: "I'm not interested. Never have been. Not in the least. It's not the first time I've been questioned about set-pieces in my coaching career. There is an underlying reason for that which I'm very, very comfortable with. To quote Billy Joel, you may be right, I may be crazy, but it's maybe a lunatic you're looking for."

He went on to add: "Eventually I will create a team that has success and it won't be because of working on set-pieces."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Four of the last five Premier League goals Tottenham have conceded have come from set pieces and it's clearly a weakness that opponents are exploiting. Despite his latest comments, Postecoglou may have no option but to address the issue ahead of his team's final games of the season against Liverpool, Burnley, Manchester City and Sheffield United.

    WHAT NEXT FOR TOTTENHAM

Tottenham head to Anfield next to take on Liverpool in the Premier League. The Reds will be out for revenge after losing 2-1 to Spurs earlier this season.
