Scott McTominay is immortal! Napoli fan gets tattoo in honour of ex-Man Utd midfielder including local nickname

A few eyebrows were raised when the Scotland international midfielder stepped out of his comfort zone at Old Trafford and headed to Naples in the summer of 2024. The only questions now are, why did United - given their ongoing struggles - agree to let him leave?

That is because McTominay has been a revelation in Serie A. He has helped Napoli to the top of the table, registering 11 goals along the way and rewriting the history books. The 28-year-old is hoping to end his debut campaign with a title party.

‘McTominay Mania’ is now in full swing, with fans sporting kilts to games while a pizza has been named in his honour. The Scotland star’s girlfriend, Cam Reading, has been billed as ‘The Queen of Italy’, while some supporters have taken to getting unique body art.

Tattoo artist Vincenzo Poziello has revealed the ‘McFratm 8’ design that was asked to ink onto one customer. A nod is offered there to McTominay’s favoured nickname in Italy, which translates as ‘McBro’.

Poziello said: "Grande Scott! Whatever the season goes, McFratm will be remembered forever!" Napoli, who are three points clear of Inter at the Serie A summit, will be back in action on Saturday when taking in a trip to Lecce.
