  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Rashford scored in United's 1-1 draw against Ipswich on Sunday after a spell of eight games without a goal in the Premier League. The England international started in the centre-forward role instead of his preferred role on the left, and struggled to get involved in general play after his goal.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rashford now has five goals in all competitions this term, with two coming in the league, and new United boss Amorim hopes to get him firing on all cylinders once again, though he insists the 27-year-old must do his part.

  • WHAT AMORIM SAID

"I will try to help him. That position is not the best one for him, especially in a game like that. We have to kick with high pressure, we have to kick the ball so many times and it was like fighting with two giants," he told reporters.

"We'll try to find the right solution for him, as for the other players. But he has to be Marcus, first of all, to try to return to that moment and then he will have all the help of the staff, the club and the fans because he's a Manchester United boy. But he has to be the first one to want it."
