According to La Repubblica, the Ligue 1 giants have begun to identify targets to mitigate for losing Mbappe. Los Blancos are finally set to make good on their long-term interest in the Frenchman, and he is expected to make the move to La Liga when his PSG contract expires in June.

The report further states that Leao is going to be the French club's preferred replacement for their talismanic attacker, although they will have to pay the Portuguese's release clause of €175 million (£149m/$189m) to Milan. Osimhen is also being tipped to join PSG, although he signed a new contract at Napoli and has a release clause of €130m (£111m/$140m) in his deal there.

Both Leao and Osimhen have enjoyed fairly strong seasons in Italy, although they have perhaps not been at their best. While the Milan winger has netted six times and provided nine assists for his club in all competitions, the Nigerian forward has found the back of the net on eight occasions and has contributed three assists in 18 matches.

Luis Enrique's side, who have a comfortable 11-point lead at the top of Ligue 1, will be next seen in action against Real Sociedad in the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday. Mbappe will be desperate to lift the elusive trophy this season to end his time in Paris on a high.
