'It's lies!' - Juventus deny feud with PSG after failed Randal Kolo Muani transfer causes reported fall out

Juventus general manager Comolli has publicly dismissed reports of a dispute with PSG over the collapsed summer transfer of Kolo Muani, labelling the claims as "false" and "lies". The French forward looked set to head back to Turin after impressing on loan last season, but ultimately joined Tottenham on loan after a move back to the Serie A giants failed to materialise.

Speculation regarding a strained relationship between the two European heavyweights emerged after extensive negotiations for Kolo Muani broke down late in the transfer window. Juventus were unwilling to meet PSG's valuation, leading the striker to secure a deadline-day switch to the Premier League. Addressing the rumoured fallout at a press conference, Comolli was unequivocal. 

"I've read articles about discussions with the PSG president. It's false, it's lies," he stated. "Someone tried to manipulate a situation that doesn't exist. I've always had an excellent relationship [with big clubs], and the same was true with PSG." 

Instead of landing Kolo Muani, Juventus moved to sign Lois Openda and Edon Zhegrova, with Comolli declaring that the club "feel stronger" after their transfer business.

With the transfer window closed, Juventus will focus on integrating new signings Openda and Zhegrova into their squad. The club have expressed satisfaction with their business, aiming to build a competitive team that is now one of the youngest in Serie A. For Kolo Muani, the season-long loan at Tottenham provides an opportunity to rediscover his form in a new environment after a challenging spell in Paris.
