    Ghodoussi faced the brunt of a section of supporters after he criticized the atmosphere at St James' Park, urging fans to enhance their vocal support for the Magpies, following the remarkable 4-1 victory against Chelsea, with goals from Alexander Isak, Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton, and Anthony Gordon. After the online backlash, he once again took to X to clarify his previous comments as he claimed that they were misinterpreted by the audience.

    Ahead of Newcastle's game against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Ghodoussi wrote on X: "Often, our intentions and words don't align perfectly. I believe most of you know how deeply I'm committed to this club; my heart beats in black and white, and my love for the club and all of you is unwavering. Let's keep our fingers crossed for tonight, we stand united. Here's to us and our journey together. Howay the Lads."
