Manchester United star Ella Toone joked that it is best not to speak to goalkeeper Mary Earps before a match as the England hero is "in the zone".

WHAT HAPPENED?
Earps was in no mood to be distracted as she headed to the dressing room before facing Liverpool in midweek, snubbing media requests for a quick chat. Her team-mate Toone was more open to speaking and admitted that it is best to avoid the shot stopper before matches.

WHAT TOONE SAID
Toone said: "She's in the zone. Don't speak to Mary. Maybe after the game. Yeah, don't look at her."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Earps has been a pivotal figure for United and England. She impressed as England made it to the World Cup final earlier this year before losing to Spain in the final. The 30-year-old has also featured in all seven of United's Women's Super League matches in the 2023-24 campaign.
