Per The Telegraph, United and Chelsea remain locked in talks over a deal for Garnacho, but there is a significant gap in the two clubs' valuations of the player. Chelsea would like to pay £30 million ($41m) for the Argentina international, but United want closer to £50m ($68m). Bayer Leverkusen made a bid worth around £30m in January, which was rejected.
Chelsea face Crystal Palace on Sunday in their opening game of the Premier League season, while United play Arsenal. Exiled Garnacho won't be involved in the latter.
