Liverpool are trying to ensure a seamless transition following life after Klopp, as they target Bayer Leverkusen boss <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/xabi-alonso-liverpool-bayern-munich-verbal-promise-from-bayer-leverkusen/bltf12044874467a3eb" target="_blank">Xabi Alonso as their next manager</a>, and if Koopmeiners joined that would strengthen their midfield, too.
