Mbappe will receive a signing-on bonus of just over £85 million (€100 million), which will be paid over a five-year period. However, he has allegedly agreed to a lower salary than the one he was offered in 2022.

The report also mentions that the confirmation of Mbappe's decision came in February when he informed PSG that he would not be extending his contract. Subsequently, senior figures within Real Madrid informed head coach Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the club’s Champions League last-16 first leg against RB Leipzig on February 13 that Mbappe would be joining the team next season.
