    WHAT HAPPENED?

The Red Dragons have made a habit of lining up end of season jaunts to Sin City. They were first rewarded with such a trip in 2023, on the back of landing the National League title in record-breaking style.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

A second visit to Nevada was taken in last summer after claiming a runners-up finish in League Two. Having finished second again in 2024-25, as they start to prepare for life in the Championship, Phil Parkinson’s players are heading back to the United States.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney continue to dig deep in order to make lavish celebrations possible. They have continued to invest heavily in a stunning sporting project, with more transfer records being broken in North Wales.

  • THE GOSSIP

Sam Smith became Wrexham’s most expensive signing when joining from Reading for £2 million in January. He scored seven crucial goals as another promotion-winning line was crossed, and now forms part of the travelling party heading across the Atlantic.

  • WHAT JAMES MCCLEAN SAID

Outspoken Irishman McClean is also on that plane and is delighted to have avoided the stress of post-season action in the scramble for a third promotion spot. He has posted on Instagram, alongside an image of him with Smith, Paul Mullin, George Evans and Andy Cannon: “Vegas again ole ole ole (be sh*te to be in the play offs right now).”

  • WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?

Parkinson will not be joining his squad for a wild party in Vegas, as Wrexham’s coaching staff take in a more relaxed break, with it yet to be determined what the Red Dragons will get up to in America and whether McElhenney - potentially with wife Kaitlin Olson in tow - forms part of the festivities again.
