THE BIGGER PICTURE
While the men's team are set to move into the 52,888-seater stadium — a £760 million ($958m) development, Goodison Park's future is uncertain. The club's Goodison Legacy Project was unveiled in 2020 but that can only get off the ground until the men’s first team relocate to Bramley-Moore Dock. The report adds that this project may not get in the way of the women's team moving to Goodison Park, however.

WHAT NEXT?
It remains to be seen what is in store for Goodison Park and Everton's women's side but new owners, the Friedkin Group, have said they are keen to grow the team and moving to this iconic ground would help do just that.
